I managed Amazon’s “tiger team,” which was responsible for spearheading implementation of IT infrastructure for Amazon Phase II buildout of 4.5 million sq. ft of fully-automated distribution.
I performed a Sr. SystemsEngineer role, and managed on a rotating basis, 37 techs at different sites for rapid implementation of entire US and Japanese distribution center IT infrastructure.
The teams implemented, configured, and maintained:
Windows NT, 2000, Linux app hosts, Linux DNS/DHCP/BOOTP hosts, and x11 clients
4,000 node Symbol Technologies WLAN and barcode systems
Cisco LAN/WAN/VPN/VLAN routers and switches,
Warehouse systems including Crisplant, Buschman, and Rapistan sortation controller systems, RTS picking and Scan-Label-Apply-Manifest systems, critical to production in Amazon.com distribution centers.
I analyzed and troubleshot: Windows NT, Windows 2000 server, Winsock issues, and Linux socket issues. TCP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, ICMP, SMTP, Telnet, FTP.
Environment: Cisco, Symbol Technologies, x11, RHE Linux, HP Unix, Sun Unix , Windows 2000
