08/95-10/97 Phoenix Media/Communications Group Boston, MA
I managed an MIS team supporting over 400 Apple Macintosh/PC workstations at four WAN connected sites which administered Mac Desktops, PCs, printers and servers.
I administered IPX, IP, and Appletalk networks.
I configured the POP3 email server, the LanRoverE remote access server, T1, ISDN, Cisco Routers (IP/IPX/Appletalk Routing/Zone Redesign), DEC switches (Ethernet/FDDI), TCP/IP-based applications.
I converted the LAN/WAN at several remote sites from LocalTalk to Appletalk which included upgrading the premise wiring from CAT3 to CAT5.
I was part of the team which rolled out a national award-winning web site for the Boston Phoenix on November 5th, 1995.
Environment: Cisco, Appletalk 2.0, LocalTalk, Mac OS 7.5, Windows NT 4.0
